Well…after 8 years we’re finally getting married!
We know many of you are traveling from far, so we truly appreciate the effort you're making to join us for our big day. We've got a fun weekend planned, so be sure to check this site for all information - we'll be updating it as we go.
Accommodation for the wedding weekend (Friday & Saturday nights) will be fully covered - please let us know if you will not be staying. Check the Travel Guide for more info.

Is your wedding indoor or outdoors?
Our wedding venue will be held at a traditional Chinese 四合院 (courtyard home), so most of the celebrations will take place outdoors. Late October in Xi'an is generally mild (16–19°C / 60–66°F) during the day, but evenings can cool to 7–10°C (45–50°F), so we recommend bringing a jacket or outer layer for after sunset.

Friday, October 23rd - Welcome Drinks
Where: Tanghua Hotel 华邑唐华酒店
What: Welcome drinks & nibbles to say hi, meet new friends and reconnect with old ones!
Time: 7-10pm
Attire: Cocktail
Saturday, October 24th - Wedding Day
Where: Yueji Space 樾己空间
2pm: Champagne Welcome
What: Mingle and meet new friends!
3pm: Wedding Ceremony
3:30 - 5:30pm: Cocktail Hour
5:30pm - 9pm: Reception
What: Dinner, first dance & cake cutting
9pm - late: Afterparty at next location
Attire: Semi-formal. We encourage guests to dress bold, in colors, be glam, even embrace the Chinese culture - anything that you’ve always wanted to wear but maybe never had the occasion!
Colors: Please avoid white and red. Black is ok :)
*Please note that weather in late October can be cool, with comfortable daytime temperatures around 16–19°C (60–66°F), but evenings can become chilly, dropping to around 7–10°C (45–50°F). We recommend bringing an outer layer for after sunset!

Visa Information
For our American friends and family:
Please visit the Chinese Embassy's official visa page for a breakdown of the visa requirements for travel to China. You can begin your application on the COVA site here by clicking ‘Start my application’ and registering an account. Please note that you can only apply for the visa within 90 days of entry. The application process typically takes around one week from the time of submission, but we recommend allowing extra time just in case of delays. The good news is the visa is valid for up to 10 years!
*Please also note that certain states fall under certain Consulate jurisdictions. Texas & Florida residents must now submit their passports to the consulate in D.C. as the one in Houston closed. Illinois residents may submit in Chicago. You can check which consulate jurisdiction your state falls under HERE.

China now offers visa-free entry for up to 30 days for travelers from 40+ countries. You can find the full list of eligible countries HERE. If you’re planning to stay longer than 30 days, please check the visa requirements specific to your country.

The wedding weekend accommodations (Fri. & Sat. night) are fully covered. If you plan to extend your stay, you are welcome to book additional nights at the same hotel at a discounted rate.
Guests who book additional nights at the Tanghua Hotel as part of our wedding group can receive a special rate of 900RMB per night, which includes an upgrade to a 60㎡ One-Bedroom Suite.

Shuttle Services
